2017 guard Roach commits to Cats

Kameron Roach, a 5-foot-6 point guard from South Carolina, confirmed that she committed to Kentucky and Coach Matthew Mitchell on Friday.

The Lower Richland junior, who averaged 11.5 points and 3.7 assists last season, said she picked Kentucky over offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Dayton, Seton Hall, Charlotte, Furman and several others.

Roach was ranked No. 56 in the Hoopgurlz Super 60 rankings for the Class of 2017.

“I’m proud to be a part of the Big Blue Nation,” she messaged.
