Quick women’s hoops notes

A quick tweet from Southeastern Conference answered my most-asked question lately: When will a schedule be out? Tammy Wilson, the league’s sports information guru for women’s basketball, said via tweet that the womens’ schedule will be released on Monday at around 10 a.m. on the SEC web site.

UK still has a couple snags in its non-conference schedule, which is why it hasn’t been released yet. Ideally, Kentucky would like to release its full schedule on Monday with the conference schedule, but it’s not clear whether or not that will happen yet.

  • Kentucky announced on Friday that it will host its first-ever coaches’ clinic featuring SEC Coach of the Year Matthew Mitchell on Oct. 20 at the Joe Craft Center. The camp is designed for coaches at all levels (middle school, high school, AAU and junior college). Participants must be 18 years of age or older. A registration form and other details should be released at www.ukathletics.com in the coming weeks.
