UK’s O’Neill wins SEC honor

Reserve Jennifer O’Neill was named the Southeastern Conference’s Freshman of the Week after averaging 12.5 points in 21.5 minutes of action in Kentucky’s two wins last week. Those wins included a career-high 15 points in a come-from-behind win at Florida for UK, which has won four straight games. The 5-foot-6 guard has scored in double figures in three straight games.

  • Also, Kentucky moved up two spots to No. 17 in the Associated Press poll put out on Monday afternoon.
