  • Cats have grabbed a 54-46 lead with 11:42 left in the game. Conwright has four points in a 9-3 run.
  • Drake was just taken off the floor. The team trainer appears to be looking at Drake’s right knee, which already had a brace of some sort on it. Drake still has her jersey over her face, looks like she’s crying.
  • With 15:30 to play, UK has a 45-40 lead. Miami still hanging in there. Drake and Dunlap both have 12 points for Kentucky.
  • Kentucky has a slim 33-31 lead at the half, shooting only 31.3 percent to 47.8 for the Redhawks, who have made four three-pointers. UK has forced 18 turnovers and turned them into 19 points. This Miami team looks much improved over last season.

  • UK scores seven in a row to grab 16-14 lead and has forced 11 Miami turnovers with 9:20 remaining in first half.
  • The Redhawks lead 12-9 with 11:50 to go in the first half. UK’s pressure has forced Miami into eight turnovers, but when it gets a shot, it’s falling with Miami making 55.6 percent from the field. UK has been struggling on the offensive end, making just 3 of 14 tries.
  • At the under 16 timeout, the two teams are tied 5-5 with Mathies heading to the line for a pair of free throws. UK has made only two of its eight shot attempts.
  • Coach Matthew Mitchell seems serious about his declaration that the starting lineup is fluid. Listed as UK starters today are usuals A’dia Mathies, Victoria Dunlap with Samantha Drake as well as Carly Morrow and Maegan Conwright.
  • The Redhawks return four starters from last year’s 9-22 team, including last season’s Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year Courtney Osborn.
  • Junior guard Keyla Snowden, who injured her knee in a collision during the season opener versus Morehead State, did not warm up with the team and will not play today. She has been diagnosed with a right knee sprain and is listed day to day, according to UK.
